My Mission Statement

My mission is to provide a positive learning experience in which each child can feel and be successful. My classroom will strive to convey an atmosphere of acceptance and an appreciation for individual differences. I will endeavor to help each child achieve his/her full potential both academically and socially and involve parents in the learning process.

My name is Mrs. Gintert. I have been a teacher at J. A. Garfield for 22 years. I've spent the last 18 years teaching first grade. I graduated from Ravenna High School and earned a BA from Hiram College in the areas of elementary education, reading and special education. I received my Masters Degree in December of 2005.
I live in Ravenna with my husband and two boys, Seth and Zachary. We have a black lab named Shadow.
