Kindergarten Entrance Skills
Here are some of the skills students should acquire before entering kindergarten:

• counting to 20, identify numbers 1-10
• identify basic colors and shapes
• write and recognize own first and last name
• identify most letters of the alphabet
• taking care of personal needs independently (ties shoes, zips jackets, & restroom use)
