It is very important for you to have the opportunity to visit colleges/universities before you make your final decision about where you will attend! This will enable you to get a good sense of the campus environment, meet with various departments, and learn more about the opportunities offered at the school. You may be excused from school for two days per year for a college visit.
In order to be excused from school you must do the following:
1. Have taken either the ACT or SAT
2. Submit a college visit form to Mrs. Lohr one week prior to the day of your visit. Forms may be obtained from Mrs. Lohr.
3. Notify your classroom teachers and request the work that you will be missing. ( Extra time will not be granted for completing missed work)
4. Upon return, present confirmation of your visit to Mrs. Lohr.
Most schools have special visit days that you may attend. In addition to those special days, many schools offer daily tours. You should check the schools website for more information about special days they have scheduled as well as their daily tour schedule. Usually, you may register to visit on-line or call the schools admissions office.
