Welcome to the 2007-2008 School Year!

Turn in Service Hours by April 18th!



Interact Club is a service club open to JamesA.GarfieldHigh School students.  The club's purpose is to promote community service through volunteer work throughout the Garrettsville community and surrounding areas.  If you are looking for a group of people to help with a community service project, call JamesA.GarfieldHigh School to let us know what you need.  Meetings are held every other Tuesday after school at 2:30 in the Media Center.

Service Club Varsity Letter: Students completing 40 hours of community service will earn a Varsity letter the first year of service. 2nd & 3rd year students will earn a pin, 4th year students will receive a plaque honoring their dedication of service to their community! Print out a copy of the hours verification sheet here! Have an adult sign the sheet stating how many hours you completed for the community service project.

 August/September Football Cleanup:  Friday, August 31st; Friday, September 14; Friday September 28; Friday October 12; Friday October 19
September 11 Meeting in Media Center After School:  Holding election of officers!
September 14 Home Football Game.  Clean up!

Regular Meeting 2:30 media center.  We will discuss the OCT 12th plans.

Friday, NEOEA Day, Several Projects:  Trash Pick up SR 82 meet at Carlisle Barn at 9:00; Weeding and Planting Mums at Clock Tower and City Hall.

Show Box Project Begins!

Next Meeting November 20th:  Receive Shoebox Little Sibs!  After school in Media Center

  December 11th Shoe boxes are due
December 18th:  Field Trip and Holiday Party

 January  

15th:  Meet after school in the Media Center to make Valentine's for our buddy's at Joseph Gallagher School in Cleveland. 

 February

 Family fun day with Rotary Club.  Help with games and Concessions
Valentine picture frames for Little Sibs!

 March  Prepare 4-Way speeches/Spring Fundraiser for charity such as Hats on Day or Shamrocks for Dystrophy
 April

Congrats to Vickie James, Local 4-Way Speech Winner!  Good Luck at Regional Competition at Beechwood High School!
