2007-2008 Quiz Bowl Schedule
October 13, 2007. Garfield Heights High School Tourney (all day) Two teams will compete in this "pop culture" tournament. The bus will leave at 7:15 AM. We should return around 4:00 PM. Pack your lunch or bring money to buy lunch.
October 25, 2007. Scrimmage at GHS. We are hosting a scrimmage from 3:00 to 5:30. Area schools will come to compete. All quiz bowlers are encouraged to attend.
November 3, 2007. Aurora Early Bird Open Tourney (all day). The bus will leave at 7:45 AM. We should return around 3:00 PM. Bring money for lunch or pack your lunch.
November 10, 2007. ONN Brain Game. A select group of students will travel to COSI in Columbus to compete on a new television quiz show called the "Brain Game." Parents and friends are invited to attend to support the team.
December 12, 2007: Scrimmage at Mogadore High School. Meet in room 202 after school. We should be back by 6:00 PM.
January 12, 2008: Bulldog Academic Invitational Tournament (all day). One team will represent Garfield at Garfield Heights High School. We will be gone from 7:15 AM to 4:00 PM. Pack your lunch or bring money for lunch.
January 19, 2008: Cloverleaf Invitational (all day). Two teams will compete at Cloverleaf High School. We will depart from GHS at 7:30 AM and return around 4:00 PM. Lunch will be provided by the Cloverleaf Buzzer Boosters and will cost $3.50 per person.
February 13, 2008. Portage County Academic Tournament. Kent United Methodist Church.
February 23, 2008. Copley Tournament. Details to be announced.
