Required Materials: Each student is required to have a notebook ONLY for Science notes and activities. The students are required to take all class notes, complete all "Question of the Day" activities and to complete any assigned book activities or discussion questions. These notebooks will be collected and graded to be sure that students are taking notes as well as completing any given assignments.
Homework: Homework will usually be worth between five and ten points. Homework will always be expected to be turned in when it is due. For homework that is late, the grade will automatically be cut in half. That means if a homework assignment was worth ten points and it is turned in late then it will be cut down into five points. Late assignments will not be tolerated.
Missing Assignments: If the student "forgets" to turn in two assignments within the same month, the student will then be issued a warning to complete both assignments by the following day. If this is not done, the student will be assigned a lunch or after school detention to complete both missing assignments. The student will continue lunch or after school detention until these assignments are completed and turned in.
