Head Lice or Pediculosis

Head lice is an ongoing concern in populations where there is close contact between individuals.  When students share items such as combs, hats, barrettes, and other personal items it increases the opportunity for the parasite to be passed from one person to another.  As a parent one can be proactive by checking your child's head on a regular basis for the live insect or eggs.
